Vinyl is a perfect floor covering for a bathroom. Waterproof and easy to clean. Why are you considering painting the floor? A painted floor will wear and crack quite quickly and become marked and dirty.

Linoleum would be my choice for bathroom, for warmth and hygiene.

Yes, maybe satin is better.  Floors often used to be painted,  when I was a child.

    The ply is waterproof.
Ya and the floor was made from solid wood and not laminated wood in the past.
Waterproof so it’s Marine ply? And not internal ply?

I think it’s WBP, rather than marine ply.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

WBP is not waterproof, weatherproof yes (hence the name) but it would still require a preservative to prevent water damage.
