I'd also add that it was interesting last year buying a monitor and an air purifier from a well known Swedish emporium. The monitor has only gone red three times as a result of the stove (misfiring, blow back and cleaning) but many more times as a result of cooking in the separate but adajcent kitchen. My sweep told me last year not to call him this summer as he was getting fed up coming round to inspect and not needing to clean for which they don't charge. My neighbours in my terrace and opposite have helped me source wood, so no objections locally. With solar panels, an EV, cycling locally, no kids and not having flown since 2015 I don't feel too guilty about my environmental impact, and I burned less than 1500kWh of gas last year. If I were in a city I'd probably have a different approach and have far far bigger fuel bills.0
