BULB - recalculating bills using estimated readings over actuals provided for 1 or more months?

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if it's normal for Bulb to do?

Has anyone provided actual meter readings over say 3 months, only for Bulb to credit those months and re-issue one invoice to re-bill for those 3 months?

They then remove your actual readings provided from your online account and replace with 'estimated' readings.  I'm assuming this is just them adjusting due to reviews they have with their external partner who provides them with what certain households readings should be at a certain point based on history and usage?

I've photos of each meter reading provided.  I'm not overly concerned as their overestimation isn't material monetary wise, as it'll offset against future readings anyway. I am more interested in what has triggered it.

If a supplier does that then try doing a screen cap of the reading that you make and save them to a folder on the PC the readings could come in useful if you lodge a complaint through a service like resolver.
As soon as bills are available download a copy and if it won't download scroll over the bill and copy and paste it into a word program like libre office or other office software.
Someone please tell me what money is

Suppliers are expected to use meter readings provided by a customer for billing purposes. If they disagree with the reading, then another meter reading should be requested.

Condition 21B. Billing based on meter readings

21B.1 If a Customer provides a meter reading to the licensee that the licensee considers reasonably accurate, or if the Electricity Meter is read by the licensee, the licensee must take all reasonable steps to reflect the meter reading in the next Bill or statement of account sent to the Customer.

21B.2 If the licensee considers that a meter reading provided by a Customer is not reasonably accurate, the licensee must take all reasonable steps to contact the Customer to obtain a new meter reading from him.

That is not to say that your statement will show the reading that you provided: many suppliers use a fixed date for billing.

Zog, for example, used to bill on the last day of each month. If a customer provided a monthly meter reading on the 28th, then the statement would show an estimated reading for the 31st based on three days of estimated usage from the meter reading on the 28th.
