Halifax has lost my money

I need some help with this.
In a nutshell...Halifax has lost £300 when closing my savings and transferring it into my current account and their solution is to register a complaint.

I'll try to keep it brief.
I had a Halifax regular savings account with £300 that I wanted to use. I discovered uou can't transfer out of it and to close it you need less than £5 in it.

I have a lot of health issues - most notably here I have agoraphobia and a phobia of telephones. I'm currently under the homebased mental health team due to a bad stretch of health. I'm also by myself.

So I used the chat facility. They said they could do it and did. This is that portion of chat..

Hi Claire, my name is Jhyn. I hope you are well. Thank you for your patience while waiting for my response.

I understand that you would like to close the savings account. I can certainly help you with this.

I would like to confirm if you would like the balance to be transferred to the current account you have with us."

"Yes please"

"Hello, Claire.

I have successfully closed your regular saver account. When I refresh the system, the amount from the regular saver account has not yet been credited to the current account yet. Please allow us up to 2 hours.

Please keep an eye on your account and if it does not show, send us another message so we can raise the payment in error.

I'll leave this chat open so you can easily send us message."

"Thank you. I can't see it so I see what you mean. If I don't see it in this time I'll come back. Thanks for the help."

(⭐️2 HOURS LATER AT 5AM)
"Hi. Messaging as stated above. Can the transfer of the closing of the saving account funds please be looked into? Not showing up in my current account still- 2 hours later. Thanks."

"I am sorry this is the case, as the account is now showing closed I have no access to the it. If you visit your local branch they will still have access and be able to find out where the funds have gone and apply this to your current account."

After hours of back and forth of multiple people replying they can't find my money.
I have proof of a saver statement still accessible. Proof of the SO that was paid from the current account into the savings account monthly to build up the money.

I don't understand why they can't find it?
I don't understand why if I can see it was there, they can't?

Due to my (frustrating) mental health I'm limited in my communications. I'm a wreck right now. This is not helping the (already) delicate condition I was already in.

I'm both worried for my finances and my health. But due to my condition I have access to emergency MH help right now so I can use that...

But I need help with getting my money. Obviously I was withdrawing it to use it to pay for things.

Can anyone please give advise here?
Thanks in advance for anything.

Sorry to hear you're having problems.

My best advice, especially bearing in mind this is the middle of a weekend, is to wait and message them again tomorrow, Monday, after office hours have begun.  When systems and staff are more likely to know what's going on.

You don’t have to worry about your money, it will appear, possibly after the weekend.

In the meantime, you can do as Halifax have suggested and register a complaint.

I agree with the above comments. It will probably show up in your account at some point during the next working day (tomorrow). One thing I would add is that if you haven't already, make sure you cancel the SO to the regular saver as it won't be cancelled automatically when closing the account. It's one less thing to worry about later on.
