Eon next -all customers 100% renewable?

Just watched Eon’s advert where they say that every customer gets 100% renewable electricity.
Interestingly, when I challenged my supplier So Energy about why I had to pay increased rates, they told me that it was not possible to provide 100% renewable energy because the electricity is sent to my home via the National Grid (which of course receives power from a number of suppliers who do not provide from renewable sources).
I’m probably naïve but perhaps I’m not the only one who would question Eon’s truthfulness.
Can anyone put me straight?

Almost all domestic energy suppliers claim to be "100% renewable" but justify this by buying REGOs.

REGOs are often thought of as greenwashing.

There are three suppliers with better green credentials - Good Energy, Ecotricity and Green Energy UK. The latter of those currently has the cheapest known open-market fixed energy tariff.
