How do I refund a UPS collection?

I bought something from a third party seller on amazon and I had to pay for my own return label. But now amazon gave me a free one. I scheduled the UPS collection for Monday before they gave me the free label. It was £21 so I would really like a refund. I tried calling them but UPS close at 2pm on Saturdays and I can't call them on Sundays. 

If I tell the UPS driver I don't want the item to be picked up can I ask for a refund or would that not be possible since UPS attempted the collection?

Hi, you should contact amazon. In fact, really you should have left it to amazon in the first place but given that you didn't, do contact them now and explain what's happened, as you have done above.

They should refund you. Amazon have refunded me for things when it's not even been their fault, that is on occasions when I've been let down by third party sellers.

UPS won't be able to do anything about it. And the driver certainly won't be authorised. 

Your transaction was via amazon. They should help you, so do contact them, they can afford it.
