Hi

Can someone tell me whether I can relay my garden path with the stones I already have or will I have to take up the remaining stones and replace with new paving stones?

Thank you

The stones can probably be reused if they clean up OK.
You'll need to dig the base out and compact some MOT1 or crushed rubble in. Then mix some sharp sand with cement (8:1 mix) and add enough water so that it is damp, but not sloppy wet. Put a 25-50mm layer of the sand/cement mix down, and then carefully bed each stone in. Use a rubber mallet to get each stone reasonably level, then leave well alone for a few days.
Mix a smaller batch of sand/cement and fill the gaps between the stones.
