Is it just me or did everyone get a price rise in May 2022 and then the "hike" in June?

My unit rate for electricity was 20.53 then in April it went up to 28.08 and then in June it was 33.24?  I daren't even contemplate what's going to happen in October!

No there was no price cap rise in June. Your April price appears correct.

Did you sign up to a new fix at 33.24 I presume pence per kWh electricity?

If you did get a fix at that price it might be worth keeping given the expected prices Oct 2022 And Jan 2023 rises.

What tariff are you; Area; Supplier.

Generally no to your question, but the official Standard Variable Rate unit price cap rose on 1 April and will again on 1 Oct. Did you come off a Fixed rate around the dates in your post?

Utility Warehouse Gold Tariff, West Sussex - I already ran the comparison via this site (at least I think it was MSE) and UW still came out the cheapest.||

So they increased my tariff slightly in April, which would have been for March consumption, and then again in May which would have been the April increase.  So, if the April increase was a percentage increase on my current rate, which only started with the March bill, isn't that a bit wrong?

I don't know the black arts of utility warehouse and what discounts and what you are on.

Hopefully another UW person may pop along and help. If not just contact them and ask them direct?
