You need a machine capable of running W11. Whether it has W10 or W11 loaded doesn't matter, as long as you can upgrade to W11.

Support for W10 will be running out in October 2025, by which point you need to move on to W11 or stop using windows altogether. You might start using Linux, but it would clearly be daft to buy a new machine now with that level of obsolescence built in.

A bit harsh. Nothing stopping you from using W10 for years......

Yes, no further updates and no security updates but hey, the share of Windows 7 desktop users as of June is still about 12%!!!

You'd be hard pressed not to get Windows 11 on a new laptop.

Got this from Costco a couple of weeks ago, sweet machine I'd recommend but out of stock. Windows 10, but probably because this model has been out for more than a year. Might be worth sticking a "watch" on hotukdeals in case it re-appears.

Good suggestion. Do laptops get discounted / on offer often?
