CEX item never showed up

I purchased an item from CEX which was apparently sent 10 days ago. There was no RM tracking available until yesterday and now displays and entry that states, "Wednesday 20th July: Sender despatching item".
Do you think the shipping label was created on this date but it's still not sent to RM? I've contacted their customer service via their website but I'm still awaiting a reply. At what point can I request a refund?

Royal Mail's first scan of the item will be when it comes out of the sacks/cages in their depot and goes through a sorting machine. The label could have been generated ten days ago and the product not shipped until 20th, it could have been shipped and sat in an RM depot for ten days, I know RM seem to have some backlogs at the moment (sending large volumes of tracked goods for work) so either scenario is entirely possible.cloudyz said:I purchased an item from CEX which was apparently sent 10 days ago. You can request a refund whenever you want, but if you receive the item you would then have to return it. If it is something you actually want then I would hang on a few more days and see if it gets delivered not that the tracking is live.1 -
I don't really want the hassle of waiting for a refund so maybe I'll give it until after the weekend, thanks.0

I would say the item hasnt been despatched and thats just the pre advice message.0
