Two meters - should I get rid ?

Hi
I have two meters, one for heating and one for everything else. I am now on a standard tariff for both and as I can only change between EDF and SSE as I think these are the only two providers for customers with two meters. I have been trying to get EDF to put me on one meter, they have been very hard to deal with, and the more I look at things I am wondering if I should just stay on what tariffs I am on until energy prices stabilise and start to come down again ?
If anyone has any experience of changing from two meters to one or any advice on whether I should change I'd greatly appreciate it.

To convert to a single meter will require you to get an electrician in to do the necessary wiring changes. Once you've got all your wiring connected to a single metered supply, you can then get EDF to remove the other one. You're unlikely to save any money in the short term but this will give you more options for switching in the future.N. How have you ended up on a standard tariff for both? Were you given any other options (e.g. Economy7)?ZetHambone said:
