Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, dry underfoot but cloudy air feels much fresher and more comfortable.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was spag bol for the menfolk, I had a ready meal that I found in the depths of the freezer that needed using up! Tonight I'm not sure what we'll be having but likely something quick and easy to throw in the oven.
I'm now on days' off until Tuesday next week. I have the normal "to do" list so am thinking I'm going to do a quick once over for the housework shortly before it gets too hot. I have food shopping to do first thing, then some other jobs.
I'll just potter along and get stuff done at my own pace.
Keep safe and well x

Morning folks, thanks for starting us off nmlc. Enjoy your days off.Yesterday was an OK day for weather, much cooler without being cold. I went out first thing to take all the rubbish to the tip. On the way back I met a neighbour who gave me some home grown potatoes and a wee mini banana and walnut loaf.Today is dull outside, lots of low cloud without any hint of sun hiding behind it. Perhaps last week was our summer. My plans for the day are fluid, I need to find some suitable gifts to take across to family and friends and a small 'minding' for two others I haven't met. Some ideas care floating in my mind, they just need to come together more.I hope that everyone is doing OK. Happy Friday to all.13

Good morning folks, I'm up and about early today, woke at 05:30 with poorly tum and since I need to be in town by 09:15 for eye test thought I might as well stay up. 2nd cup of Yorkshire's finest on the go, looks rather dull out, must check what to wear, taking OH for brunch afterwards so not much to eat needed today, need to check the salad stocks, not eaten much else lately.
Have a good day all and keep safe, so many people seem to be getting Covid here and taking quite a while to get negative tests. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)13 -

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. We had a bit more mizzly rain through the night but not enough to do any good. More is forecast for later today so hopefully that will be a bit heavier. It's still feeling pretty muggy.
I had a lovely day out with DF yesterday, lunch and obligatory bottle of wine much enjoyed! Only other spending was on a new foldy uppy walking stick to replace my exceedingly shabby one. This is a Wm. Morris design, very fashionable!
Anyway after being AWOL at the van and then gadding off I am confined to barracks today as there are jobs awaiting. The garden needs attention too later if the rain holds off. DD has been coming while I was away to hose all the pots etc at the back but the front has gone rampant again. That front garden is the ban of my life.
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for all in need of them. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"14 -
Morning All
Just having a quick five minutes on here before the troops surface! DGS is watching his ipad in my bed, would imagine DGD is watching hers in her bed, I'm sat on the sofa in the living room, DS2 is home working in the kitchen and his DP is still asleep.
Lovely day yesterday, took the littlies swimming in the morning once I'd had a haircut, lunch at home and a scoot/walk to Aldi for supplies. DD arrived with the little one and the Dutch contingent so we sat in the garden watching the children play in the pool and had dinner outside - salad, cold meats, etc followed by fruit and ice cream. The little one wanted to sleep here which wouldn't have been a problem but her Daddy hadn't seen her since the day before as he'd been up early for work, she was heartbroken to go home.
Not sure what we're doing today, it's raining this morning which is a bit of a blow but we'll survive.
Hope your meeting goes well today Ruby.
Glad you enjoyed your trip out TA.
Feel better soon Maddie.
Hope you're feeling better now Poppy.
Happy Friday everyone, take care.XX13 -

Morning all
Quite dull here but at least it's dry - it's our last day of term and we have a party in the garden this morning. We finish at 1.45 this afternoon. Several of the children have been with us for more than 2 years - since they were toddlers really - so it's a bit of a happy/sad day - with lots of hugs.
I had a doctor's appointment yesterday - same advice really - rest as much as possible and 'you will feel better one day.' She was very interested in my painful fingers and toes and wants me to go to physio - she thinks Covid has caused nerve damage. And I have exercises to do for dizziness. It was good to talk things through.
Sorry haven't time to reply to everyone this morning...need to make my lunch for work - so I'll just wish you all a good day x
Oh Gers - hope the sofas are comfy11 -
Morning all WM is on dog has been walked and i am off to the nail bar in a bit i am having my false nails removed as i am starting to baulk at the cost every 3 weeks and also my real nails haven't had a break for about 3 years so i will see how i go during the summer. Hi everyone,
I'm sitting with Esben while he munches on a roll and jam, he's already had a big banana. I heard him trotting down the stairs earlier so I thought I'd better follow him. Brian is in Wales and Laura and Steve are still asleep.
We are planning to take him out on the bikes this morning, with a stop at a cafe for lunch. Laura is off to London to volunteer at a place which is offering acupuncture to Ukrainians to help with the trauma they have suffered.
It doesn't look as if the weekend is going to be as hot as first forecast which is a blessing.
I have started a baby quilt for Chris and Crystal, I've been a bit paralysed trying to think what to do but in the end I decided to just get on with one. As soon as I started I found the perfect pattern so I'll do that one as soon as I've finished this. It will take a bit of adapting to make it smaller but hopefully will work ok.
Gers, I do envy your community up there, it seems very close knit.
Ruby, good luck with the meeting.
Have a good day.12
