It's certainly the foundation; however you need to give careful thought to your general interview technique, specific examples of why you should be given the job, specific examples of things you've achieved. You've got to sell yourself without appearing creepy. You can't help it if someone turns up on the day who can offer more/better, but you can present yourself in the best way possible and use the experience you gain to do even better next time. One of these days you'll clinch it.

I will spend some tim over Christmas working on all that then.

    Hi
Can i be bold and ask:
    What do you currently do?
What do you want to do?
What skills do you have that are not related to the job you currently do?
What do you have to do to get where you want to be?

You don't have to display this to all and sundry; but if you look at it logically, and tick the boxes off to get there; even that shows initiative at interview.

Sp's go for it , you will never know unless you try. If you try it always means you can come back on here and start another thread on why you did or didnt get the job

:wall: and  I wrote a long post telling you precisely what (summary: we've heard all this before, at least some of us have, and even those who haven't will quickly tire of hearing it all again) and then I lost it, going to look for the headbanging smiley! that'll teach me.

Anyway, go and read a few dozen of your previous jobseeking threads, not a lot has changed since you wrote them and patient people replied ...
