Ah that's no good then. The penalty points for "Failing to provide driver's details" used to be three. It was increased to six when a number of drivers who had committed more serious speeding offences (which would have attracted more than three points) thought it was preferable not to respond to the request. For that reason, most insurers treat the accompanying endorsement (MS90) quite seriously. Basically, they wonder what a driver might have done that caused him to fail to respond.1

Thanks, everyone for the comments.
It shame but I might understand wrongly the Police letter. I think they meant I excided 30 miles limit but not by 30miles, so it is why only educational courses are offered
.
But is good to know your ideas, I'll try to book the course its online and see what is that shitx2 -
Having learnt to drive and passed my test in London I am sure he doesn’t mean 30 mph over the limit. I doubt if that were possible in London. I agree with the others, take the course and stop worrying about it. It would be incredibly difficult to prove you hadn’t broken the speed limit.0

If all the utter nonsense you just posted, this bit really takes the biscuit.rigolith said:The instructions for those guns day don't use them through glass. That's why they have a flap at the back of the van instead of a window. But your car has lots of glass at the front. At the range they use them the beam will hit that glass, assuming they even aimed it right.
The reason you don't use them through glass is because the glass absorbs some of the light going out and some of the light coming back meaning that there may not be enough to get an accurate reading. The laser will scatter back from everything it hits on the vehicle, including the windscreen. Light reflected back from windscreen doesn't move faster or behave any differently than light reflected back from the metal bonnet or the radiator grill. Windscreen glass doesn't change the laws of physics.1
