    We booked a holiday on Sat and the assistant discussed the evidence Spain needs. We are going All Inclusive and we don’t spend anywhere near the amount of money they are suggesting travellers must prove they have. We asked her what proof we could give as we don’t use travellers cheques but she didn’t know as she only heard about it the day before.

    Banking app on your phone?
    Access to credit on your card, again via app?

    No need for paper at borders these days, paperless will be completely fine.

    Nowhere is suggesting that they "must prove" access to funds. If you fly on a pre-paid package holiday then you aren't going to be asked anything. They aren't even checking vaccine certificates. It's just the media whipping hysteria up as they always do.

    All countries (including the UK) reserve the right to refuse admission at immigration. It's just that within the EU there is no immigration.

    Personally, I find paper much more reliable than digital stuff - especially when I'm waiting in the queue behind someone who is fumbling with their device to find the right bar/qr code etc etc

    You need to use my method;

    Return flight on one tab, vaccine passport on another, banking info is a swipe, 2 pressed and a fingerprint away.

    I can never understand people with disorganised phones :)
