Can anyone advise the best and cheap sim to use in Dubai for data as going to have wifi in the hotel?

    Download the local google maps from the hotel wifi, no idea about a sim “cheap” for calls though someone else may.
    You could check your existing provider for rates but it also depends on how long you need it for

    You wont need one - Ive just returned from Dubai and they will place a sim pack in your Passport as you go through passport control. 
    The Sim wont have nay credit, but you will get free data for 24hrs when its activated. You can just top it up a little if you wanted to. 
    Every adult will get a free sim.

    One thing to bear in mind is that this is heavily monitored  and filtered. As far as I know that is the case with all mobile in Dubai
