Hi all
When I try to read some newspaper pages online, my screen goes black when I scroll down to see what the front page of particular newspapers are showing.
It does it for the Express and Mail on the BBC's newspapers headlines page -
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-the-papers-62246579
And when I get to the headline section for my local paper -
https://www.iomtoday.co.im/news
This doesn't happen on my laptop, so wondering if I've a setting on my PC that I can change ???
Thanks for looking in.

Which browser? Which OS? Have you tried a different browser?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1 -
Google Chrome and Windows 10, the same as my laptop.GDB2222 said:Which browser? Which OS? Have you tried a different browser?0 -
Do you have any extensions running?
If so, try and disable those to see if it resolves the problem. If it does re-enable them one at a time to see which one is causing the problemI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!1 -
I've checked, and got the following extensions running -IvanOpinion said:Do you have any extensions running?

360 Internet Protection
Ace Script
Adobe Acrobat: PDF edit, convert, sign tools
Google Docs Offline
Ace Script appears to be the culprit today, but I'll check again tomorrow.
Thanks for that Ivan1 -
You need to be more careful about which browser extensions you install, Ace Script is pretty much malware. You may also have the Ace Stream software installed on your PC which is also malware, normally used for watching dodgy streams of TV / video that aren't normally free.Baby_Mechanic_1 said:

Run a full virus scan, maybe Malwarebyte and Super AntiSpyware as well to check up for any other nasties you have installed. You might have a hard time removing it judging by experience with other people.
Personally, I'd wipe the PC, reinstall clean OS and restore data from backup if you can't shift it.
See the reviews on the Google Chrome store:

EDIT: 360 Internet Protection Add-on is also dodgy - remove that as well.

I agree with Tallman. If you have those extensions installed, goodness knows what else is installed. What you are seeing is possibly just the tip of the iceberg. You could try running Malwarebytes, but it’s safer to Just back up your data then wipe the disc and reinstall. No reliance should be placed on the above!
