Newcastle Triple Access ISA Initial Deposit

I have just opened a Newcastle Triple Access ISA and I received an email with a sort code, account number 00000008 and a reference number to use for my initial deposit only.
Then today I have just received another email giving me access to my online account which shows my actual account number.
So I assume that my actual account number replaces the reference number to make a deposit, using the 00000008 account number and my actual account number as the reference required when making payment from my nominated bank.
However I have done that but still nothing showing in my account after half an hour?
Has anyone else had any problems with this?

To answer my own question, which others may find useful, Newcastle B. S. deposits only show at the end of the day even though they may have gone through earlier, so not quite like faster payments, just a delay in showing in your account.

Has your money been credited yet? If not, has it been returned?

From memory, Newcastle is one of those which uses a clearing bank. So, to pay money into your account, you use their generic account number, then put your specific account number in the reference field.

I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong, but please check your instructions for paying in.

@badger09 Yes my money was credited after a short while not at the end of the day as I was told but a couple of hours after sent it.
