    £63.25 over

Not a good month. Hoping September will go better.
I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy :D
  • I'm over budget by £16.20.  It's added to the running total, so hope to recoup some of it next month.
Grocery challenge 2025: £650/1500 annual budget
  • My month finished on the 12th, and sadly I was also over by about £30.

Not sure if it was to do with having DD here more, a few bulk buys or a combo of everything.

I'm struggling with my budget this autumn. I noticed ginger biscuits are now 69p after being 40p at the beginning of the year. I bought them but they will be more a treat (instead of wafers with ice cream) and not a little indulgence with a cup of tea in future.
    Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far

Suffolk_lass they are 39p in Tescos still at the moment .I too enjoy a couple of ginger nut biscuits with a cuppa and have done for years. In fact its my go-to biscuit first thing in the morning with my early morning cup of tea when I get up.

Now and again I treat myself to a tin of the very upmarket Cartwright and Butler stem ginger biscuits but it really is maybe when I am on holiday or at Christmas as my family know how much I like them, but they are rather expensive to say the least :) Although Tesco do ,at least in the bigger shops sell a stem ginger cookie and they are around £1.00 a packet, but again they are a teat and not an every day item

I think we all need to treat ourselve a little now and again don't we as life can be hard enough :)
