Remove glued shed roof felt

Hi all, I’m in the process of removing old felt and it seems that a portion of it had been glued or something, it is absolutely rock solid stuck to the boards and I’ve tried a paint scraper ( the heavy duty with Stanley blade) and while it worked it would take me months to remove the felt as it takes forever scraping off 1cm sized bits (and my arm is falling off already...)

Not sure what else can be done, popped to B&Q but they said only scraper and no solvent to budge it that they knew of...

Gas: warm air central heating, instant water heater, Octopus tracker
Electricity: 3kw south facing solar array, EV, Octopus intelligent

Do you have a garden spade or shovel (metal ones)?

Looks like it has been torched on in places.
The felt would have been heated up by playing a big flame on it is soften the bitumen. Before it had a chance to cool, the felt is then rolled to make good contact with the timber and stick well. Solvents won't shift it, and a scraper is going to be hard work. Applying some heat with a big f.o. gas torch will soften the bitumen and it should come off with a big scraper - Yesterday, you could probably have gotten away without the gas torch.

You need something bigger than a paint scraper, that looks like pretty thick wood it should not be damaged by using a garden spade as a scraper.

If you have a blowtorch with decent sized nozzle use it to heat the spade and felt should make it easier to remove.

Some swarfega would be useful for cleaning hands and tools when finished.
