Business Energy Scam??

I was called by someone claiming to be from "Business Energy Claims" who knew my mobile, my name and that I used a certain energy supplier. They wanted to do a free eligibility check to see if I had been mis-sold energy - that mysupplier (and others) were receiving commissions and selling energy above the price of the actual selling price of gas and electricty. Their legal team would handle my claim if I qualified as someone who had been mis-sold energy,
Has anyone else heard of them, and is this a scam?

without looking too much into it I'd say it has the classic Scam set up. Block the number and move on.1

I would call it a scam because there is no cap for business energy cost, so how could it be sold to you above a non existing cap?
As a business owner the protection private customers get does not exist for you.0 -

Hang on all - I advise not to judge this too quickly, as there ARE in fact legitimate claims being won by businesses, for hidden commissions/fees charged by unscrupulous energy brokers/resellers going back years. I’ve heard of cases being won from 3k to over 100k. It’s a significantly unregulated industry, and there are solicitors offering genuine services. Claims companies can and do offer appropriate services in some instances, especially where businesses/consumers are uninformed.0
