TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “DC League of Super-Pets x Magic – Win a London Weekend Away For The Family” (the “Competition”).

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside  our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail.

 

1.ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS	Entries are restricted to one entry per person.   Entry to the Competition is available via the following routes:   Online at https://planetradio.co.uk/magic/competitions/   Online entry is free of charge.
2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN	2.1   Pre-registration   In order to be eligible to win, entrants must go online to absoluteradio.co.uk and tell us the following details:    Full name and contact details Must tell us the reasoning why they’re proud of their pet, it can be a funny, heart-warming, brave moment, or story about a pet past or present Agreeing to the terms and conditions of the competition.   Registering to take part in this competition does not provide any guarantee that you will come on-air or win a prize.   2.2 The Competition[GE1]  & How to Win   There will be 5 chances to win the Prize Package as described in Prize 5.0 which will be executed in daily competition rounds during the Magic Radio Breakfast Show (see 2.4 How to Win).    For each of the competition rounds, there will be a shortlist of 10 semi-finalists chosen by random electronic draw from all valid entries up to that point.  The 10 daily shortlisted semi-finalists will then go through the competition judging process and the daily finalist will be selected from the shortlist pool.   Entries will be judged on how entertaining, compelling, heart-warming and how deserving the entry is. All entries will be judged by the Magic Breakfast production team, the production manager, and an independent judge. On shortlisting, we will require the entrants to coherently explain their entry. The entry must be compelling and match the entry that was entered online.   We will be shortlisting entries from the open of the competition on the 20/07/2022 at 00.01 until the close of the competition online entry period on 27/07/2022 at 13:00.   For the competition on Monday 25th July 2022, the shortlist draw will take place at 1pm on Friday 22nd July 2022. The finalist will be selected after this time and contacted before 5.30pm on Friday 22nd July to organisation winner announcement which will take place on Monday 25th July between the hours of 06:00 – 10:00.   For the competition on Tuesday 26th July 2022., the draw will take place at 1pm on Monday 25th July 2022. The finalist will be selected after this time and contacted before 5.30pm on Monday 25th July to organisation winner announcement which will take place on Tuesday 26th July between the hours of 06:00 – 10:00.   For the competition on Wednesday 27th July 2022, the draw will take place at 1pm on Tuesday 26th July 2022. The finalist will be selected after this time and contacted before 5.30pm on Tuesday 26th July to organisation winner announcement which will take place on Wednesday 27th July 2022 between the hours of 06:00 – 10:00.   For the competitions on Thursday 28th July 2022 and Friday 29th July 2022, the draw will take place at 1pm on Wednesday 27th July 2022. The finalists will be selected after this time and contacted before 5.30pm on Wednesday 27th July 2022 to organisation winner announcement which will take place on Thursday 28th July 2022 and Friday 29th July 2022 between the hours of 06:00 – 10:00.   If the selected finalist entrant cannot make the agreed date, they will forfeit they’re and the production team will select another entrant from the shortlist and repeat the process until a daily finalist is available.   Speaking to a member of the production team does not guarantee you will be selected as the daily finalist; only when told you are a finalist by the Magic Radio presenters will you be deemed a finalist.     The Magic Radio Production Team reserve the right to pre-record any part of this competition with contestants before the 'as-live' broadcast.
3. ENTRY PERIOD	Pre-registration will be open from 00:00 on Wednesday 20th July 2022 (pre-registration start date) until 1pm on Wednesday 27th July 2022(pre-registration end date)   There will be 1 x competition round broadcast every day from Monday 25th July 2022 (on-air start date) to the Friday 29th July 2022 (on-air end date) during The Breakfast Show between 06:00 – 10:00 Monday to Friday.   Entries received before the pre-registration start date or after the pre-registration end date will be invalid.   Please note Magic Radio reserves the right to remove the competition for any event such as a public holiday.   Winner Announcement: The name of the winner will be announced on on-air after each competition round.
4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS	Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry. Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter. We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms. Anyone who has won a Bauer competition to the value of £500 or more within the past 6 months on any Bauer Radio Brand, will not be eligible to take part in this competition nor will anyone else at their address. 5. THE PRIZE	There will be up to 1 winner per day and 5 winners in total throughout the week. Prize package for 2 adults 2 under 16s includes: • Travel allowance of £200 • 2 nights’ luxury hotel accommodation in London (4* min), sharing a family room • Daily breakfast • Family meal at an animal-themed restaurant (to the value of £150 to cover food, drinks and service charge) • Family admission to London Zoo (2 x adults’ tickets and 2 under 16s tickets)   The Prize is provided by Element Prizing (the “Prize Provider”). We are not responsible for any aspect of the Prize, including unsatisfactory quality or late delivery or a prize winner being unable to take up any aspect, or the entirety of the prize due to their own circumstances or restrictions.   Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable.   *Please note that due to the current Covid-19 situation, there may be delays to delivery and to the winners being contacted by Bauer Media. 2.       INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you have submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you any remuneration therefore and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

 

3.       MISCELLANEOUS.

 

• Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms.
• Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
• You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route.
• We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the competition.
• Whilst on-air, you must not make any inappropriate, profane, indecent, harmful or offensive statements. If you do so we reserve the right to take you off-air immediately and disqualify you from the competition. You may be also disqualified from the competition at any time if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners. Any prize already won may be withdrawn and re-awarded to another entrant.
• As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition or any element of the Prize.

 

We may cancel, end or suspend the Competition where we are required to do so in circumstances outside our control. We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any stage during the Competition if such amendment is necessary to facilitate the administration of the Competition.
