I don't think that is the case here, but it does explain the scenario where "unwanted" upgrade can make sense.But the phone company don't just send out an upgrade. They are quite happy to let the contract keep running after the minimum term to generate extra profit for them.In your scenario someone would have to actively agree to the upgrade and if it's in the parents name they would be the one who has to do it.0
