Sheffield City Centre Parking Fine (Single yellow line/blue badge)

Hi, today I received a parking fine for parking on a single yellow line. The reason for the parking was because it was to collect my grand parents medication who was my passenger at the time. The blue badge was displayed and it wasn't for long either. Reading the receipt it is for parking on a single yellow line. Can I appeal this because we had a blue badge on display ? I clicked Sheffield city council appeal page and it states upload pictures, do I just upload my grand mothers Blue badge or is it just a waste of time, words against words so to speak?

tried to find info online but I cant see where it would state about using passengers blue badge.

Since we specialise in dealing with private parking charges on this forum, you would be better off taking this over to our friends on pepipoo.com as the are the council motoring specialists.

You will need to register with a non-hotmail email address, read the FAQs, then post both sides of your redacted PCN with your query.

Were there any kerb "blips" and/or signs to indicate no stopping?
Did the person to whom the blue badge belonged get out to get their meds? If the answer to that question is no, and the CEO witnessed this, you may have a bigger problem.

Unless it's your Blue Badge, you don't have any entitlement to park using the BB, unless your grandparent was leaving the vehicle to collect the meds him/herself. Think about it.

    PePiPoo will help you.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Then you can park there with a Blue Badge.

Have a look online at the photos the Council has, was the Blue Badge shown on the dashboard and obvious?

Maybe you forgot to set the clock? On a yellow line you get 3 hours but have to set the clock. Even so, I suspect the appeal will be accepted if you provide the Badge and a pic of the medication as evidence.

How long does an appeal take? I supplied all evidence.

It's Sheffield Council you need to contact about that.

Good luck with that, their phone lines are a nightmare.

I appealed online directly through the parking ticket site and it states they reply with an outcome via email, just wondering how long it took
