I need to sign up and provide my credit file to my IFA and he recommends checkmyfile.com. Not free after 30 days but I need it as a one - off so will be cancelling before the 30 days are up
Anyone with any opinions on difficult it was to do that has been through the process?
Thanks

Rather than checkmyfile, which is more prone to errors, get your free reports via Clearscore, MSE Credit Club and Credit Karma.1

Many thanks but I see the IFA going the .'but our underwriter will only consider details from...'route:j0

The underwriters will be running their own credit checks directly with the CRAs. They won't go by anything supplied by you or from checkmyfile.
The IFA is just interested in getting a broad view of your circumstances.2 -
It's easy to cancel1

My mortgage broker asked me to provide a copy of the CMF report as it lists everything in one document. It's easy to cancel, just remember to do it before the free trial is up.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2

A statutory (free) credit report downloaded from all 3 CRA’s would be best surely?
i didn’t have any issues cancelling before the 30 day free trial was up.
Clearscore seems to be a bit haphazard of late, removing things and then weeks later adding them back. Not sure if they’ve been having technical issues. I checked my Equifax stat report and compared, clearscore is very much on the back foot so to speak. If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.
Secured/Unsecured loans x 1
Credit Cards x 8 (total limit £55,050)
Creation FS Retail Account x 1
Creation Credit Sale 0% x 1 = £112.50pm x 20 mths
0% Overdraft x 1 (£0 / £250)
Mortgage Outstanding - £137,707.00 (Payment 13/360)
Total Debt = £7,400 (0%APR) @ £100pm - Stoozing0 -
Easy to cancel, my broker also suggested the same. I've run out of free trials now so my broker makes do with my Experian or Equifax statutory report, depending on which bank she's likely to use.Experian is always smooth, the Equifax system I find hard to navigate.1
