Hi,
We are travelling to London on Friday 21st Dec, with a 3 1/2 year old.
I got the tickets to see santa at harrods and 2 nights in the Hoxton hotel for £30, now we are looking for something to do at the evening, we thought maybe the Lion King show, but there a bit expensive, Could we get them cheap on fri / sat if theres any left and where do u get them from?
Also anyone have any other ideas on what we can do, w
Thankyou

I wouldn't take a child only 3 years old to see a major London show at that time of night unless I knew that the child was able to sit through the performance without being kicked out.
We are taking our kids aged 2 to 11 years to see "The Snowman" to an 11am performance next Sunday. There are tickets available direct from the box office which do not appear on the online booking map because of the restricted leg room - we got a row of 4 tickets for £12 each for the kids and another 2 seats in front which were only for sale over the phone. Don't buy from ticket selling sights, get direct from the theatre.
We take the kids to London every year for a short break just before Christmas. In the past we have never taken the under 5s out after about 9pm. The older boys got taken to the cinema last year late at night. In the early evenings, we have done night ice-skating, Caol singing in Trafalgar Square and visiting the lights in Regent Street.
I would guess that the London Eye is probably open at night and there is probably a few food stalls and perhaps children's amusements nearby.0 -

We took our 8 year old daughter to the Lion King in August and it was fabulous but i wouldnt recommend it for any under 5-6 year olds personally.
After a busy day trekking around London on and off the tube i should think most 3 year olds would want to be in bed.
Having said that you know your child better than anyone and there is always plenty to do in the city.0 -
I know the IMAX on the Southbank have been showing Polar Express throughout this month. Might be worth seeing how much tickets are. Also have you tried seeing if any of the theatres specifically for children (like Polka or Unicorn) have anything suitable? As a previous poster said, The Snowman at The Peacock is a good bet, and there is also The Nutcracker at Sadlers Wells. I would imagine that the panto at The Old Vic would be sold outas it's very popular. Also, you could try the TKTS booth on Leicester Square for other shows in the afternoon as this is how shows sell off tickets on the day - however, this isn't that good for shows suitable for kids as they tend to have sold very well at this time of year and I don't think you'd find anything suitable for such a little one. Plus you'd need to queue up which is a drag.Yeah, whatever. I'm a grown up, I can take it...0
