Bitcoin Era

Hey. I don't know if I have been really stupid - can anyone tell me if Bitcoin Era is genuine?? I have never done anything like this before and reviews are so mixed online. And i just want to confirm I have not been an idiot... but I may have been so the quicker I know the better! TIA

I would be suspicious. The website you mention seems to be for somebody different called "Crypto Algorithm".
Bitcoin Era have a different website with very poor reviews:
Assuming you have the right website the "About Us" tells you nothing at all about them, and the "Contact Us" just takes you to the same page with no contact details.
I would have to dig deeper to confirm whether it was legitimate but the early indications are not good.

Do you already have an emergency fund, a pension, an ISA etc?  Do you mind losing your money if this doesn't work out?  A quick Google says there are over 10,000 cryptocurrencies in existence.  Can everyone buying them be a winner?
Think first of your goal, then make it happen!

If you are interested in Bitcoin, please research what you are buying, understand why you are buying it. Happy to provide relevant links depending on what you know or don't know.

One of the core points of Bitcoin is self custody. You don't want any middleman where possible.

You can be sure whoever is running that site will be a scammer, or at the very least a very hungry parasite.

This is also a scam website. A typical "don't invest in this scam, invest in our scam instead". If you want to verify this, scroll down to the inevitable "Recommended Systems" link (bearing in mind their "recommended systems" are scams).

Your minimum deposit is gone. The likely outcome of asking for a refund is that they will contact you claiming a) that you can get all your money back but need to pay a withdrawal fee or 2) that your deposit has rocketed up and you should invest more money than withdrawing. Or some variant of the two. They may also demand identity documents for "anti money laundering / KYC" which will be used for identity theft.
The most likely route to getting money back is via your bank, depending on how you sent the money:
    • Bank transfer - push payment fraud claim
    • Debit card - chargeback
    • Credit card - section 75 claim
