Were the SLC aware that you changed from being a student living at home to one living away?

The amounts you should get can be seen here:

    https://www.gov.uk/student-finance/new-fulltime-students

So it looks like originally you were getting £7987 for the year and now you would get £9488. It is normally paid in 3 equal instalments at the beginning of each term. I'm unsure what happens if you move to a different category mid year.

You need to contact slc and let them know you are no longer living at home. It says this in the instructions here:

    https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-student-finance/change-an-application

one of the items you need to report is if you are living somewhere new.
