Hello Can someone check my timeline
Applied via broker 1st week in Aug, case was Acknowledged on 15th Aug 2022. 2nd week in Sep asked to supply some info.... week commencing the 3rd Oct asked to supply more info ..10weeks in similar to Blueblossom.. the underwriters must be under considerable pressure like most banks at the moment0 -
Hi, similar timescales…
Applied late July, initial assessment took 3 weeks, and then bit of additional info requested (another 2 weeks). Then took 3 weeks for underwriter to check it. I booked survey as quick as I could (2-3 days). Got confirmation survey was okay within a couple of days of it being done. Now waiting for the offer, been 2 1/2 weeks so far… :-( , so getting in for 3 months and that’s before conveyancing…0 -
Hi @za_1000 @Timespringseternal mine was the same! We submitted application on the first week of august. Our valuation was done yesterday so hopefully it’s not too much longer for the mortgage offer. Hope you both get some good news soon!1

This may be a little late to add this for the original posters here but Metro sold our mortgage to Natwest about a year ago. Nothing changed for us in the medium term but now we are due to remortgage it is proving an incredibly frustrating process. The primary complication appears to be to do with my account number! It is really unbelievable, I am unable to lock in a new deal with Natwest as my old Metro account number that I seem have retained prevent Natwest from allowing me into their online system to secure a rate. So, Metro were fine when we were with them, good customer service, easy to get on the phone etc, but since they sold our mortgage without any warning it's put us in a situation where we are going to end up with a much higher mortgage rate (Natwest don't have any advisor appointments until 3rd November!). Natwest's failings aren't a Metro issue of course but the selling of the mortgage came out of the blue.1

newdriver101 said:@blueblossom - hi - I did get my offer last week - approx. 5 weeks in total!! My broker did put in a request for my application to be accelerated (as I had received notice to complete + developer had threatened to start charging interest if I did not complete) - I didn’t think the request had made a difference but judging from your timeframe - it looks like it did…. Metro are really slow… Good luck!!
@twins - hi, have been thinking of you - any update your end? I know you’ve had a really long journey… hope there is light at the end of your tunnel - fingers-crossed for you…
Unfortunately, for us we're still waiting! Now into month 3 of going back and forth on questions and Metro have asked for yet another piece of documentation. We're are close to losing the house and the chain is not going to wait any longer. I'm at my wit's end and hate Metro with a passion.
Good luck to all those who have applied, just hope your wait isn't as painful as ours0 -
Just to let you know got the mortgage offer yesterday, so just under 3 weeks since survey. Hope that helps.1
