Dehumidifying air purifier?

So I've got fans, and ultimately fans do just circulate air. I take it that an air purifying dehumidifier can also do the same?
Also, more importantly whilst not actually cooling the room down, could at least make it "feel" cooler due to less humidity?

I think, when it's hot, the relative humidity in UK isn't high enough for a dehumidifier to work efficiently. Also, without ventilation it ultimately heats the air in the room. And the air flow for purifiers and dehumidifiers is much weaker than for fans.

Including those Dyson-y ones?grumbler said:I think, when it's hot, the relative humidity in UK isn't high enough for a dehumidifier to work efficiently. I don't know. Do they really make dehumidifiers? I see the opposite - humidifiers.Personally, all Dyson's sales pitch I take with a BIG pinch of salt. I don't think that a small domestic device can purify big flow of air, but it can blow a lot and purify just a small part of the flow at the same time.0

They don't claim to be dehumidifiers however they do claim to be air purifiers which helps with sneezing due to dirty fans. Like, yes, I clean them but I'm not cleaning them every week, as it involves basically taking the pedestal fan apart. It'd be different if it was a ceiling fangrumbler said:I don't know. You might want to consider portable air con where you blow cold air into room & expel the hot air through a window"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Thanks. I did consider that but AC is expensive to run, and also isn't exactly great for the environment tbh You could put it on for say 30 mins and use a fan to recirculate that cold air I guessmissile said:You might want to consider portable air con where you blow cold air into room & expel the hot air through a window0 -
