How much does money weigh?

From April onwards, my partner gets lots of change at work so I just put in whatever I had left each week. I usually do one for holidays then one for Christmas after the holidays one is full. £600 I think was in the holidays one.
Scary bit is when we moved house just before I opened it and when we were moving stuff I left it outside by accident for about 12 hours! It was on top of a box for the shed so I'd left it just sat next to the front door
:rotfl: now that would have been horrible if it'd gone missing. One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Possibly - but if it had gone missing, you wouldnt have known how much was in it to missNo Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.

1p and 2p coins weigh £1.28 per lb. (doesn't work out so easily in grams, I guess because the coins haven't really changed since before we generally used metric weights and measures)
All other coins using metric weights (equivalent values are what it takes to fill those little plastic money bags to take to the bank!):
5p/10p - 325g = £5.00
20p - 250g = £10.00
50p - 160g = £10.00
£1 - 190g = £20.00
£2 - 120g = £20.00
Obviously this will only help if you know what is in your tin! But maybe someone will find it useful LOL0 -
