How many credit cards do you have and why?

I have 4 that are used for and cleared each month:
- Amex Platinum (used mainly online for the cash back)
- Tesco (used mainly for grocery shopping, for the club card points/vouchers)
- Sainsburys (used to be used for grocery shopping but solely used by my wife, for the Nectar points)
- Amazon Mastercard (only used for Amazon, for the points)
I have a Barclaycard Platinum that was used to make a couple of 0% purchases, will be paid off before end of the interest free period.
I also have 3 cards (2xMBNA & Nationwide) that used to carry a 0% balance, but have long been paid off.0 -
11.
Three that I use regularly and pay in full (Amex, Visa and Mastercard)
The rest are all balance transfer or 0% spend cards. Several are payed off so I'll close those down at some point in the next month as I don't intend to need to pass any credit checks for a fair while. I have my cards on a spreadsheet to make sure I repay before incurring any charges/interest, and if the direct debit isn't high enough to do this when I need savings available to make the final repayment.
