Expected cost for moving door under a loadbearing wall

    We plan to install one size down (68cm)

    Is it a fire door? I think the minimum allowable is 750 mm for domestic use IF it needs to be a fire door.

    From a different perspective, 2 lined up doors of different sizes would really grate on me so I would offset them. We're all different!

    You are doing alteration work which means you need to comply with the building regulations.

    What the regulations require depends on the type of building and what it is used for.

    You should get your architect to advise, as they will have the full picture and know of any local requirements.
