thanks
Todays payment isn't the criteria. It would be last months payment. It makes no difference how much you received, as long as you had a payment for the assessment period that ended between 26th April to 25th May.

Morning, can someone just clarify for me please. My assessment period was 5th May - 5th June and found to be entitled to a payment (payment date 11th June) - so do I come under the 'and later found to be entitled' statement and therefore entitled to the first CoL payment?
Thankyou.0 -

Thankyou. No you won't be entitled. Your assessment period is outside of the criteria. You must have been entitled to payment of UC for an assessment period that ended between 26th April to 25th May. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/cost-of-living-paymentWere you claiming any other benefits before UC?

For Tax CreditsTax credits
To get the first Cost of Living Payment of £326, you must have received, or later receive, for any day in the period 26 April 2022 to 25 May 2022:- a payment of tax credits
- an annual award of at least £26 of tax credits
If you get both Child Tax Credit and Working Tax Credit, you will receive a Cost of Living Payment for Child Tax Credit only.
If you get tax credits from HMRC and a low income benefit from DWP, you will get a Cost of Living Payment from DWP only.If you qualify under TCs you will not get the payment until the autumn.
