Would change carpet to flooring void new build warranty?

Hi group.
I'm buying a house, which was a new build in 2018 and still got 6 years on the new build warranty. I'm considering changing all the carpet to flooring and repainting the walls, which I thought should be simple and straightforward. However a friend mentioned this could potentially void the new build warranty, which got me surprised.
Just wondering if anyone knows if this could be true?

Read the warranty. Never ever heard or read about that before. Easier route call the warranty people and then take the name etc of man you speak to if they say you can go ahead and keep a record of it.1

The warranty left is the NHBC which only covers structural issues now anyway. The first 2 years, the house would have been covered by a developer warranty which is probably what your friend is thinking of.1
