DLA only claimants not getting £650 Cost of Living Support.

For the many people who like me are unable to claim Pension Credit etc as they have savings and therefore, will not be eligible for the full £650 receiving £150 instead. There is a petition which, if enough people sign up, those of us in similar position might get a bit more - 'Make people on disability benefits eligible for the £650 one off payment'.

You will be entitled to the winter fuel payment though and the £400 energy grant if you're named on an energy account so you haven't missed out on anything.
As i mentioned on another thread, it would be so wrong if that £650 was paid to everyone on a disability benefit. I can't possibly see them including disability benefits to the list of those entitled to the £650.
Unforunately, they can't please everyone and some will always miss out.

No, it's not instead of the £650 being given to those on qualifying benefits

The Government have decided that those people on DLA or PIP get £150.

Plus the extra winter fuel/cost of living  payment for all pensioners.

On help for pensioners, Mr Sunak told the Commons: “From the autumn we will send over eight million pensioner households who receive the winter fuel payment an extra one-off pensioner cost-of-living payment of £300.”

This means that more than 8 million pensioners who already receive the winter fuel payment will get an extra £300 to help cover the cost of rising energy bills.

It is as clear as mud to me who will get what.

I note the French are to nationalise EDF so they can directly control energy costs. Like many others, I will be in the situation where the French government decide how much I pay. So much for taking back control with Brexit :-1:
