Talk to your employer about covering the costs of the sale. My employer has a policy of covering costs up to a certain level including renting in the new location for X months to give people a chance to find a place they like, schools they like for their kids etc. Ensure they are aware about complications of your recent purchase - they may not care but then again maybe they can help you sort through all the palaver.
