Leaving a rental property in credit

Hi everyone

I've been in my rental property for a couple of years now, and I'm very lucky that, due to my administrative laziness (and my ex moving out, dropping the energy use substantially) I'm in quite a lot of credit with my energy supplier

My question is, what happens when I move out? I know we'll take a meter reading on my moving date so I won't be paying for anything after that, but what happens to my credit? Would it be transferred to new supplier at new property (I assume not) or will it be reimbursed?
TIA

If it's eon, if they are sending a cheque, make sure they don't send it to the old address

It's usually a direct debit, provided the OP is currently paying by DD and doesn't cancel this when they move out. This is the easiest way to do it and what I always have.
