I am wondering if people on the state pension qualify for this cost of living payment. Is it too early to find out?

Sorry for the Finger trouble. Should be Government.0

State pension alone doesn't qualify you for the £650. If you were entitled to a payment of either Pension Credit, tax credit or Universal Credit between the qualifying dates then you will. Full details here. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/cost-of-living-paymentYou will receive the winter fuel payment.

Oh, you won't get the Winter Fuel payment this year then; you have to be a pensioner in the qualifying week of September. https://www.gov.uk/winter-fuel-payment/eligibility
As you currently claim UC you will get the £650.0

I haven't heard this bit of news.. Okay. How is this £400 going to be done? Will we receive £x off our monthly bills or a lump some of £400? That would be nice. £326 = £400 = £7260

That would be nice. £326 = £400 = £726It will be added to your energy account over a period of 6 months starting from October. If you have a pre payment meter then it will either be added to your meter or paid as a voucher. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/energy-bills-support-scheme-explainerThere's also another cost of living payment of £324 to be paid sometime in the autumn but the criteria for that hasn't been anounced yet.
