  • You contact HMRC and tell them the deed of assignment is Fraudulent and needs removing immediately.

You then contacted Trading Standards, Action Fraud, etc to report this company
Trading Standards are unlikely to be interested and it is not fraud so don't waste the time of AF, it's just the OP signing up to things without reading them.
  • OMG!!  I wish I had this information before I EVER had any contact with Wyndan group. They asked if I wanted to claim after the Plevin announcement.. I knew Wyndan had acted on my behalf YEARS ago and it wasn’t a great amount then but out of the blue they contacted me to to act on possible refunds of upto £4000 which I thought was odd ??
They said also about acting on my marriage allowance and said it wouldn’t take long
In the meantime we had a close family bereavement and had great distress

My husband then received a cheque from Wyndan £315.70 and a letter from HMRC calculations stating they owed him £751.20
    and I a letter from HMRC stating I owed them £722.20 😳
and then a cheque arrived from Wyndan £315.70. Marriage Tax returns
HMRC said they had forwarded a cheque of £751.20 to Wyndan Gruop
I expected to receive this amount less Wyndan costs but no explanation at all as to their charges
and they have taken it upon them selves to act on my behalf in the future as my tax agent !!! And will bill me accordingly
I cannot get through on the phone to discuss this matter with them
it has therefore cost me £435.70 to text to some person/ computer regarding marriage tax allowance which I wish I had never bothered with in the first instance
Also I need to stop them acting in the future years on my behalf

          Any advice very welcome
