Sending tubes by Royal Mail

Technically, this is an answer rather than a question, but I had so much trouble finding the information and other discussions were talking about the same thing. They were closed so I couldn't add it to them.

Royal Mail seem to make it really difficult to find the prices of posting tubes. They will tell the size easy enough but not what 'band' it falls under so, no price.

If your tube is small enough - i.e. under 45 x 35 x 16 cms you can send it small parcel.

I hope this is of some use to someone and that nobody gets too hot under the collar about me posting 'unrequested information'.

This is for private users of Royal Mail. I use the business Click and Drop and even they don't offer tubes as an option to select. 

Anyway, there it is. Use it, don't use it, I'm not bothered either way.

Thank you very much, I'm sure that someone will be glad of the information. Not sure it's in the right place but then again, I couldn't say what the right place is. 

You sound a bit fed up about it all and I'm sure nobody here would get hot under any collar at being given some helpful information. I, for one, will probably never need it but I do appreciate the time and trouble you have taken to share it.

Larger tubes go as medium parcels with the following size limits.

Tube

Maximum size:
- Length 90cm
- Length + twice the diameter must be no more than 104cm
