Flight compensation

Can anyone help,I applied for compensation for me self & my husband  for a cancelled flight from Vueling,they paid mine but not my husbands,& despite sending the an email they have failed to pay out or reply

    I can't think of any reason why they'd reject a claim for one passenger if they've already accepted and paid out for the other on the booking, so it's presumably administrative incompetence - if you've sent 'an email' then you may need to chase it up with more (did you receive confirmation of delivery and/or reading), or call them, or use their social media channels to draw attention to it, or lodge a formal complaint?

    yes I have sent email using the resolver template,had no response 1 month.
    Vueling don’t seem to have anyone you can talk to so it’s email only. I’ll write again thanks

  • Can you receive compensation when you are denied boarding not due to overlooking but because the runways are short in Peretola airport, Florence and it was a windy day. Along with 19 other passengers we were randomly selected and denied boarding. Vueling are indicating that it is not down to over booking so no compensation.....any thoughts or suggestions?

    Hmm, tricky one - the regulations make no mention of overbooking as such but do refer to "a refusal to carry passengers on a flight, [...], except where there are reasonable grounds to deny them boarding, such as reasons of health, safety or security, or inadequate travel documentation", so they're presumably arguing that the denial was due to safety reasons?  If so, I'm not sure that there's a compelling argument against that....
