MyJar redress through Harrisons

Hi - I was wondering if anyone has received their MyJar compensation from Harrisons yet?  I saw that they promised to pay customers by 15th July 2022.  I hope it wasnt a scam.

Due to unforeseen delays the process commenced on the 20 May 2022 and is still underway. I was told I was entitled to £1250 but only received £34.
  • All I got this morning was £10.90 which doesn't seem correct to me , because the email I had stated I should receive nearly 300
  • What ur entitled to and what you receive are two different things.   They’re bust so they only pay out pence for every pound ur owed.   For my £1250 I just got £34.
  • I was told I was entitled to £440, but received £10.96. Did notice the disclaimer on the website right at the bottom re: 1-2pence per pound, so was never too optimistic.

Although being paid back what we are entitled to would have been great in such difficult times.

Suppose it could have been worse, thought it might have been scam.

Spend your pennies wisely ladies and gents :)

The bit you're entitled to is what you should get if the company was fully solvent and trading.
They will list a pence in the pound payment rate based on what they actually collected in which is total money recovered and available to creditors divided total owed to creditors.
In some rare cases it is possible to recover more money down the line so they can do another payout to creditors. The way they have done this is the 'fairest' way for ALL creditors of a certain priority

The firm going under doesn't wipe the debt, someone bought it - any redress should be offset though if they accept all your loans were miss-sold I am not sure why they didn't remove them - did you complain you were miss-sold or did you just apply for redress?
