Enjoy your day and I hope you are not suffering the heat too much as it here in London

im sat 12 inches from my desk fan, and tomorrow i get to use the tube - yey :-/
I see. I've not been on the tube for yonks and even then it was day trips to the city. Are they still overloaded and like ovens on on hotter days - I feel for you.
I'm lucky as left work early and we have a chavy air con unit and is now off and using fan as uses less power and slight cooler breeze,

    Anyway, good luck.

    any update?

So it’s ongoing. The threat has gone. It sadly looks like I do owe them thousands because they over paid me. They haven’t calculated it quite right so I’ve asked HR to include the bank holidays which they ignored (unreal they don’t do this automatically) and then I will have to pay. When I am not sure but now I am worried about the impact to my tax. So once we agree on a figure I’m going to have to ask them to pay for an accountant to process it all and make sure hmrc are going to still claim the correct tax back. In the past I’ve had huge issues with hmrc taking too much then refunding me then taking too little and asking for additional payments. Hugely stressful and unnecessary. Half debating asking them to pay for my time on this too because it’s them that are wasting it. Not sure it will go down well but frankly this is their error so they should be sorting it inside as of continually impacting me. Thanks for asking!

Has your employer given you a figure for the net pay you have to repay.  As your employer paid you incorrectly they will need to advise HMRC of the new taxable gross/tax paid/NI details for the end of year return.
