Return eBay item

Sorry for my ignorance, it’s been a while since I bought something on eBay but I remember there being some way to tell the seller you want to take them up on their returns policy without it negatively affecting them?

I bought a camera lens protective cover which doesn’t fit and I want to send it back and get a refund.

Can I send a message through eBay?
Thanks for any help.
Are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

You should be able to contact the seller via the eBay app (look in the purchases, select item and under more actions 'contact seller') Advise them of the issue and they should be able to assist. Just watch though as you may have to pay the post/packing costs if its not covered by a returns policy. Good Luck

You can open a 'change of mind' returns case.  If you paid by PayPal and are registered for Returns on Us they can refund you the return postage so you're not out of pocket.
