Exodus tour cancelled and no response

I booked a walking tour in Italy with Exodus. The booking terms clearly state that if they cancel the trip they will refund the fee in full.

Shortly after booking the trip disappeared from the website. I have since had 4 emails (1 a week) from the saying the trip is not guaranteed, that a decision will be made whether to  cancel and I will receive notification  no later than 8 weeks before departure. The emails all arrived on a Monday and are identical wording,  I suspect an automated system

It is now less than 8 weeks and I have heard nothing. I emailed  them and told them either to confirm the trip or refund me. I had a reply from the customer services team to say the trip was cancelled and I would be contacted by the sales team about alternatives. No one has contacted me. I  phoned and was told the sales team would contact me. They haven't so I emailed them again and heard nothing.

I have an Atol certificate (single package)  and I paid by credit card so I could do a section 75 but not  until after the departure date. I want to book something else, any suggestions as to what to do and how long to wait?

I'd be tempted to cancel Scotbot. They seem to be messing you around. I've been with Exodus once to India, It was fine but the trips with it's competitors were all very similar, could you maybe try these instead, possibly even bagging a last minute trip? - Intrepid Travel, Explore, GAdventures.

I think you're stuck.  The operator has said the trip is cancelled and that they will refund.  I believe that refund should be made within 14 days of the cancellation notice being given.  Many very large tour operators have failed to comply with the timescales.  Have you actually spoken to your bank since getting written confirmation of cancellation?
