Bought a house with a prepayment meter, Eon wont switch me to a normal meter

    So switch your leccy over to BG, or request a smart meter from Eon.

    Tried it, BG are not accepting any new customers. Although we have gas with them, to have electric we would be considered new clients. Will try the smart meter request and see how that goes.

We’ve managed to change our gas to pay monthly, but from Eon we were told by 3 people that they were currently unable to do credit checks in order to move us over and today I’ve also been told that ‘it’s a business decision.’ Very frustrating 😤
    So frustrating. I wonder if it is actually to do with credit checks though. Whether the students that were living at ours used emergency credit and so they think now we aren't good for a dd.
