Policy Expert worry after escape of water

I am in a quandary on my own worrying what to do.
I had a sudden and forceful escape of water from under my kitchen sink. Despite turning the stop !!!!!! my wooden floor is ruined. I paid an emergency plumber to chang the mixer tap which had a split flex causing the escape and he said the floor was an insurance job. I spoke to Trinty who deal with policy experts claims and explained. I was told its £650 excess so decided to see how much a replacement floor would be before submitting my claim.
I'm on minimum wage so feel quite sick about it the money.
2 floor fitters have been and quoted £1300 and £1450 both say I should claim.
However I can't find any successful claim reviews for Policy Expert at all. The only good reviews are abour the ease of purchasing a policy.
All calim reviews seem to suggest they will either lie saying the damage isn't covered or quote a figure way too low. Either way If I submit a claim I assume I would be paying the £650 and have an increase in premiums going forward and not get the £1300 I need to replace my floor!
Has anyone had a postive experience with them?
I am so concerned because they sound crooked but had a good trust pilot score when I checked before getting my policy

The main challenge, and in line with most budget providers, is that their policies do not cover matching sets and so they are only liable for exactly what has been damaged and not any parts that haven't been damaged. Hence people get a quote to retile their full bathroom and then get disappointed when the insurer says they'll only pay for the one area and effectively its not their issue that the wall will no longer match the rest of the room.0
