MOTO pcn when the motorway was gridlocked

Options
I'm advising an acquaintance whose car overstayed in a Moto service area while the motorway was blocked because of a serious accident. Frustration of contract, the driver could not have left if they wanted to. The CP plus pcn doesn't appear to be pofa compliant and that has been added in to the appeal. No admission of who was driving the car on that occasion.
When my acquaintance contacted the Moto ceo they were fobbed off by the office junior with 'we don't deal with parking' and 'only our agents can cancel parking charges' and 'we can't contact our agent without GDPR approval to share information'. Hogwash. Now waiting to see what comes back..

No worries. CP Plus never use the POFA except in windscreen PCN cases - and this isn't one.

Easy peasy to win at POPLA if you use our appeal templates. Make sure he 100% knows not to say who was driving.

Thanks CM. Yep: it is an easy win for the keeper. I'm amazed that the person sending emails on behalf of Moto doesn't have a grasp of GDPR and doesn't want to get that when Moto employ CP Plus, CP plus are their agents. (Not group nexus, but that's another can of worms)

Moto are liable for the actions of their agents , that response from them (moto) warrants a reply to remind them of this and if there has/is/was a GDPR breach then they can be held liable for the parking company's actions

My acquaintance has now had the 'your charge has been cancelled'. But not before Moto tried to avoid their responsibility as principal, and not before CP Plus had tried to ignore the equalities act and try to trick my acquaintance into revealing the name of the driver. For the benefit of search engines Moto or moto terrible customer relations. CP Plus predatory behaviour.
    GOOD NEWS

This once again proves that ANPR used in these car par parks. ANPR CANNOT SEE when a motorway is blocked

At one time MOTO cancelled these scammer tickets but it now seems that MOTO's CEO is the monkey being controlled by the organ grinder being CP Plus or as they like to call them themselves,Group Nexus

The question is how many other cars were caught up in this because the motorway was blocked .....  and they paid ?

What I do know, is that I would never enter a MOTO, nor my friends and family ...... petrol prices, food etc all over priced ? If that's not enough they employ money scammers ...... not much going for MOTO

This is all silly MOTO CEO stuff who should protect customers and if he can't,  get rid of him he is a danger to the public

The CEO IS A FOOL .... TO RETAIN a scammer on his sites with well known dodgy ANPR cameras

But, this is a prime situation that government should be aware of this money scam and the Transport Minister should change the motorway signs to warn people of the scam

Mind you, with the junk going on with government at the moment, maybe the winner of being PM will put in place a Transport Minister who will protect the motorist against money scammers, the current one does not ?

But hey, CP Plus are BPA members ..... an organisation as an ATA WHO FAIL TIME AFTER TIME ... just like CP Plus they are not fit for purpose and should be disposed of

You have been bitten by a money scammer and the parrot who signed their contract
