Electric tin opener wanted

I've had my 1st electric Kenwood can opener for about 8 years and it's still going strong.
I bought the 2nd one to use in my camper about 3 years ago. Wouldn't be without them."All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well."1 -
Another recommendation for the kenwood

Didn't seem 'grip' the rim of the cans properly, kept skipping little bits leaving the lid attached in 2 or 3 places. I'd go round & round a few times before it finally snipped through the whole lid. Got so fed up I threw it out & got a manual OXO one instead, but to be honest, that does the same thing!
Not sure if tin designs have changed (particularly those with a ring pull - which I hate), but nothing seems to give a clean slice right round.I gave up on modern tin openers many years ago and now use a very very old fashioned one which belonged to my grandmother. It's purely mechanical working on a sort of lever system which I've never come across in the UK - granny was German. It takes a little bit of effort but actually works well. My experiences with new ones has never been good.As I age more I may need to revisit my gadgets though I don't tend to use tinned food much apart from baked beans, tomatoes and other beans. The ring pulls are still OK for me once I've got the little ring thing up from being almost welded to the lid.0 -

In my opinion ring pull tins should be banned.
There's several different designs available - you might find some easier than others.

Plus I've not seen any that you can work one handed. I've had four surgeries on my hands and shoulders in the past 3 years and 2 more looming. Each time means a hand/arm is out of action for several weeks.
I'll stick with my electric Kenwood tin opener every time but lots of info on the thread for the opening poster."All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well."1
